Two-tiered wheeled dessert trolley in patinated bronze and glass made by Jacques Quinet for the publisher Broncz (Maison Malabert). Signature of Jacques Quinet, "Broncz" mark, and inventory number inscribed inside one of the bronze uprights. Jacques Quinet (1918-1992) was a French designer who studied architecture in Caen before being mobilised during the Second World War. From 1946 onwards, he dedicated himself exclusively to decoration and interior architecture, opening his studio on Rue Fortuny in Paris and participating in various exhibitions in France and abroad. He was involved in the design of ocean liners (La Bourdonnais, Pasteur, France, ...) and trains (Corail, first TGV), and he is also credited with the layout of the Plaza-Athénée hotel in Paris. In parallel, he worked for a private French and international clientele, creating furniture pieces that emphasised lacquer, light wood, bronze, and leather. Patina of time. Overall good condition. From the 1960s.
