Mid-century modern vase, glass, designed by J. Hospodka, Czechoslovakia, 1960s

A glass vase designed by Josef Hospodka, made in Czechoslovakia in the 1960s, is a representative example of mid-century modernist design. Made of heavy, thick-walled glass, it features a dynamic, asymmetrical form with a wavy line and distinctly raised, softly outlined edges. The colour palette highlights the handmade character – from yellow, amber and honey tones to delicate pink and light violet hues at the base.
