Unique set of 2 armchairs designed by Ross Littell (American designer 1924-2000) and manufactured by the Italian company Matteo Grassi, 1975. Matteo Grassi was one of the high-quality companies during the 1970s-1980s in Italy, focusing on home furniture and especially office furniture for intense daily use, which required them to provide high-quality pieces with modern functionality. Made from thick, high-quality burgundy leather that acquires charm and beauty over time. Organic wing-shaped armrests on a minimalist black lacquered steel tube base that creates great transparency. These organic, elegant, and very comfortable chairs are of high quality and are superb mid-century pieces. Beautiful vintage appearance with some signs of wear and a patina consistent with age and use. There are a few scratches on the lacquered steel and some wear on the leather of the armrests and backrest (see detailed photos). Marked matteograssi in the leather.
