Brutalist vase František Vízner - Sklo Union Rosice (1963)

Superb colourless pressed glass vase, model no. 1502, designed by the famous Czech designer František Vízner in 1963 for the glassworks Rosice (Sklo Union). An iconic piece of Czechoslovak design from the Mid-Century era, this hexagonal vase is distinguished by its prominent geometric relief and architectural light play. With significant weight and great stability, it reflects the quality of production in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s. Note: the item has a chip and an internal crack at the lower part. This crack is purely aesthetic, located within the mass of the glass and does not compromise the structure or watertightness of the vase. Height: 20cm Diameter: 10.5cm.
