Freestanding Space Age Rocket Lamp In Pink Fiberglass, Czechoslovakia 1960s

Rare Space Age floor lamp produced by Novoplast, Dolná Streda (former Czechoslovakia) in the 1960s. Typical for the Space Age era when designers were often insprired by new materials (like fiberglass) and elegance of the Space rockets. The results were design items which stand a test of time to this day. This particular lamp features a tripod teak legs which were restored into the dark stain to match the original light pink color of the fiberglass. The color is actually light pick and sometimes might appear almost peach in some light. The fibergllass is original, strong and still beautiful. The material was used due to its amazing quality to spread the light. The tall rocket cylinder has elegant fitting with brass tubes holding the shade in place. The lamp works on one E27 bulb. Electricity checked by professional. Original switch has been restored. Trully a beautiful piece.
