Set of 6 deep plates in Marais stoneware - France. Marais stoneware originates in France, in the hamlet of Andrevilliers located in Saint-Georges-sur-Eure (28190) near Chartres, where the Poteries du Marais company was founded in the late 1950s. It is a stoneware with a rustic and natural appearance, characterised by warm tones (beige, mottled brown, russet, or sandy). The set consists of 6 plates featuring a deep, earthy, organic brown base and a rim of about 2 cm in thickness in a bright, rich orange colour. The 6 plates are noticeably different, with each plate being unique. One of them has tones leaning more towards brown than orange. They are in good condition and show no cracks or chips, just a few marks from rubbing during storage, visible in the photos. D 19 cm. H 4 cm.
