“Prism” Chair by Erik Kolling Andersen for Peder Pedersen, Denmark 1950

A beautiful lounge chair, model “prism”, designed by erik kolling andersen and manufactured by peder pedersen in denmark around 1950. This truly iconic piece has a very nice, rectangular yet ergonomic shape adds a sense of luxury and modernism to the design as well as an impressive seating comfort. Made of high quality tropical hardwood in a warm brown colour, newly upholstered in the highest quality cognac coloured leather. It’s the combination of materials together with the impressive finish of the chair, that gives it a warm and most inviting appeal. A fantastic find of mid-century scandinavian design! The chair remains in very good, restored condition with minor wear consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina. The upholstery is all new, professionally upholstered in trento “dark copper” leather. It is restored according to it’s original standards with mostly original materials. The frame has only very minor wear, nothing notable. No structural problems, no damages!.
