Vintage mid century Danish teak secretary bureau with bookcase. Denmark, 1960s. Mid century Danish teak secretary in warm colour and great condition. Good quality characteristic of Danish manufactured mid-century furniture. The upper part is an open bookcase with adjustable shelves on brass pins. Below there is a section with two niches and three small dovetailed drawers and a pull-out writing surface. The drawer fronts are shaped from solid teak. The side walls and shelves have thick, milled solid teak edge profiles, a nice detail that looks beautiful and also protects the edges. At the bottom, sliding doors hide a shelf and two shallow drawers lined with green felt, for storing small items. Signed on the back with the original label: Fa. Larsens Møbler, Jernbanegade 4, Sønderborg. Made in Denmark in the 1960s. A practical, versatile piece that combines a bookcase, a writing desk and a storage cabinet.
