Teak bookcase with an original pull-out shelf, integrated storage compartment and drawers. Scandinavian production, 1960s. Designed to combine storage, display space and a practical work surface within a single piece, this teak bookcase reflects the functional approach of Scandinavian design from the 1960s. The upper section, with a depth of 20 cm, is arranged with two open shelves and three small drawers, while the lower section comprises a spacious cupboard enclosed by two hinged doors, four side drawers and an original pull-out shelf. The clean lines, recessed handles and slender tapered legs give the composition a light appearance, expressing the balance between functionality and formal simplicity that characterises Scandinavian furniture production of the second half of the twentieth century.
