The Babylon Console Table

This pretty Louis XV style table/console, the top folds down, is full of charm with its curved legs and sculpted motifs typical of this period. Its solid construction suggests that it was made in the 1930s-1950s. The condition of its top, despite being stripped and sanded properly, forced me to paint it. This terracotta shade, this powdery color gives it a certain elegance. A golden border highlights its edge. Originally this table had an extension that was lost before it came back to me. This does not prevent its use as a console against a wall (in small spaces) or as a round table that can accommodate 4 guests.
