Philippon & Lecoq “Pointe de Diamant” sideboard Behr Germany 1960

Beautiful sideboard model “Pointe de Diamant” designed by Philippon & Lecoq for Behr, Germany, circa 1960. A striking and architectural design, this piece is defined by its geometric door fronts featuring a faceted diamond pattern, creating subtle light reflections and depth across the surface. The cabinet is executed in a warm wood carcass contrasted by four cream-lacquered doors, all raised on a refined chromed steel base that gives the piece a light, almost floating appearance. Behind the doors, the interior offers practical storage with shelving, combining functionality with strong visual impact. A fine example of mid-century modern design with a sculptural quality, characteristic of Philippon & Lecoq’s work for Behr. The sideboard is marked with the original Behr label inside one of the doors. In very good original condition with minor wear consistent with age and use. Light signs of use to the lacquered fronts and frame. Overall, a well-preserved and highly decorative piece.
