It has everything of a great piece, this adorable little armchair designed by Jacques Hitier, an icon of French school furniture from the 1950s. Its silhouette is immediately recognizable: the backrest, armrests, and rear legs form a single piece of bent metal tubing that gives it a graphic identity that is both bold and poetic. A stroke of minimalist genius, typical of the functionalist design of the time. The chair is vintage and dates from the 1960s. The tubular structure has been repainted by a previous owner in apricot yellow, and the seat, made of golden plywood, has also been redone. The whole is in very good condition. Signs of use are visible in the photos, particularly on the paint. A lack of veneer is visible on the seat. 36cm wide, 33cm deep, 32cm seat height, and 45cm total height. Visible in Colmar, delivery possible upon request.
