Buffet base

I am offering this newly renovated storage unit that can fit in several rooms of the house (children's or adult's bedroom, living room, hallway, entrance). It is made of solid oak and oak veneer. I have applied ochre/saffron jute on the fronts of the doors and drawer to lighten them from their gendarme hats. I completely sanded the unit to remove its old brown varnish, but I was less thorough in the corners and mouldings to preserve its relief. The hinges and handles are original. They have been stripped and regained their shine. The exterior has received a clear wax finish. I painted a band of approximately 5 cm in ochre (Lion from Baho Déco) on the edge of the top and added a golden line between this paint band and the wood. The legs have also been painted in this colour and distressed in places to reveal the wood underneath, creating a modern yet vintage effect. For the interior, I adhered Nepalese paper with a grey pattern on a yellow background. The shelf does not cover the entire depth but can be modified (a batten and a larger shelf will do the trick). The drawer is in its original condition inside but clean. Despite all the care taken, there are traces of its history as it is a piece from the 1980s. See photos of the edge of the top.
