Lovely old painting from the beginning of the 19th century, orientalist painting fixed under glass and inlaid with mother-of-pearl, representing a landscape of mosques surrounded by palm trees crossed by a river. This painting is signed with the initials ga (g.alexandre) at the bottom right. Miniature painting in good condition, the subject and the use of mother-of-pearl give the impression of a fantastic and almost futuristic city in the spirit of the pavilions of the universal exhibitions.
