Udaipur, photo of a young elephant by the lake. Photography in rajasthan 1930s. Ly. Syed, the author of this image, photographed india, his country, for a long time. He was originally from bharatpur and crisscrossed rajasthan during the 30s and 40s in search of subjects. His photographs show colonial india on the verge of emancipation. We were able to consult his archives in search of his best photographs. Pigment print 30 X 40 cm made in our parisian workshop by our master shooter on ultrasmooth archival 260g paper. Limited edition of 36 titled and numbered prints in the pencil margin.
