Large wall sconce "Sol" in gilded wrought iron – Spain, 1950s

Superb wall light in gilded wrought iron, made in Spain in the 1950s. Its radiant design, composed of long hammered and hand-shaped leaves, evokes the iconic productions of Spanish workshops specialising in gilded wrought iron, such as Ferro Art or Valenti. The wide, domed centre, adorned with a repoussé floral motif, diffuses a warm indirect light thanks to a light source placed at the back of the structure. This halo effect highlights the gilded patina and showcases the sculptural dimension of the piece.
