Trivet – Bottle base Verceram 1960s - 70s. Very good condition, apart from a slight mini chip on one bottle base. The Verceram company, based in the Paris region in Montreuil, disappeared in the 1970s. Its bold and decorative shapes contributed to its success at that time, and its various high-end collections were widely available in stores. Asian competition and the oil crisis proved fatal for it. Today, the brand's ceramics are coming out of cupboards, and their value is gradually increasing. Some Verceram pieces are sought after by collectors. As before, the very recognisable style of the ceramics they produced in the 1960s-70s, like those before the war, revolved around tableware and decoration: trivet, ice bucket, knife rest, ashtray, small dish, fruit bowl, key tray, table lamp, vase, carafe, juice service, candlestick, salt shaker, server... With four different decorations, the iridescent one being the most commercially successful.
