The Fisherman. Oil on canvas. Signed at the bottom right. 32 X 22 cm. Framed. Very good condition, fresh. Charles Queillé (Paris circa 1875-1950) is a talented artist who painted throughout his life. Many of his watercolours illustrated a correspondence from 1906 to 1918 with his wife Gabrielle, who remained in Paris, from whom he was frequently separated due to numerous travels that took him across France, and later because of the war. This artist also brought back many oil landscapes (on panel, canvas, or cardboard) from his travels, often in a post-impressionist style.
