Bay Keramik Vase from the 50s | West German Ceramics

Large vintage ceramic cylindrical vase with a striking striped pattern, produced by iconic west german manufacturer bay keramik in the 1950s. It is decorated with a white glazed band that wraps around the entire height of the vase in a single line, with the raw clay remaining visible underneath. Abstract geometric shapes in yellow, white and blue are applied over this in a glossy glaze. The interior is covered in yellow glaze. A timeless and cheerful piece. Marked 'west-germany 598-30' on the underside. Good vintage condition. Note a small chip to the base, as well as 2 surface cracks to the interior glaze that do not affect the structural integrity of the vase.
