Set of 2 Vintage Cesca Chair by Marcel Breuer: MCM Wicker Dining Chair

Set of 2 dining Cesca chairs. White wood with chrome tubular frame and cane seat and backrest. The classy Cesca Chair was designed in 1928 by Marcel Breuer. In that time, it was the first such tubular-steel frame caned seat type of chair that was mass-produced. One of the original ones from that time sits in MoMA. It is known as one of the most important chairs of the 20th century. Condition: Chairs are in good vintage condition. Wicker is without tear. Chrome has some rusty marks (check photos), mostly on the bottom side, where it is not seen when the chair stands by itself. There are scratches on the wooden base.
