Antique ironstone soup tureen Grand Dépôt Spring model – bird decoration

Magnificent and rare antique ironstone soup tureen, model "Spring, " stamped from the Grand Dépôt de Porcelaines & Faïences, located at 21 rue Drouot in Paris, with a branch in Marseille. A true marvel from the late 19th century, and undoubtedly one of my favorites! It features a sumptuous naturalistic decor printed in blue-black tones on an ivory background, depicting delicate birds perched on branches, accompanied by beautiful flowers and foliage. Its matching lid, topped with an elegant flower-shaped knob, adds extra charm to this exceptional piece. A model full of poetry and refinement, ideal for lovers of antique ironstone and collectible tableware. An antique piece full of character, as beautiful on a refined table as it is displayed in a china cabinet. Condition: Excellent state of preservation for its age. No chips, cracks, or restorations reported. A few small patina spots inside, as well as discreet traces of time, visible in the photographs. Height with lid: 16 cm. Height without lid: 8 cm. Diameter: 20 cm. Weight: 1.1 kg.
