After the war, her family settled in Germany, and Dagmar studied sculpture, architecture, and painting at the University of Hanover. In 1973, she moved to Sweden, where she still works in art. Her work has been presented in over 300 solo exhibitions. Since 2012, she has been directing the Dagmar Glemme Art Center, an art exhibition space and the Hasslarp Sculpture Park in Helsingborg.
