Antique table centerpiece in gilded metal and cut crystal, Louis XV style.
Refined Louis XVI style centerpiece, probably made at the end of the 19th century, around 1880-1900. It features an elegant gilded metal frame, likely made of worked brass and elements of molded bronze. The openwork frieze is richly decorated with laurel garlands, oval medallions, and neoclassical motifs. The structure rests on three ornate feet and has two side handles decorated with laurel crowns. Its widely flared base gives it a particularly harmonious silhouette. The removable inner bowl, probably crystal glass, has a delicate scalloped edge and a worked bottom featuring a radiant star with long points. Its adaptation to the frame suggests a coherent antique set. An elegant piece, representative of the French historicist taste of the late 19th century, ideal as a centerpiece or decorative collectible. Dimensions: total width 31 cm, height 12 cm. Weight of the metal frame: 684 g. Beautiful decorative presence and signs of aging consistent with its antiquity.
