Art Deco lamp from 1925, base signed Alphonse CYTHÈRE (1861-1941) in flamed stoneware from RAMBERVILLIERS with its fabric shade - In perfect condition! Alphonse CYTHÈRE, born in TAUVES (PUY-DE-DOME) on 12 August 1861 and died in RAMBERVILLERS (VOSGES) in 1941, was a French ceramic engineer associated with the École de NANCY. He developed a new technique for transforming a metallic lustre glaze that brought fame to the "Flamed Stoneware of RAMBERVILLIERS". The lamp has been re-wired with over 1.50 m of twisted "old-style" cable to current standards, along with a switch and a bakelite plug of the same period. The lamp is in perfect condition, ready to be placed in your home, and the bulb is included. Total net weight, in kg: 1.2. Measurements, in cm: Height of the lamp 38. Maximum width of the base 12.5.
