Wicker armchair from the 50s

Large armchair in braided flat wicker of natural color, decorated with red and golden strands. It must date from the 50s or even before. It is very beautiful, a beautiful shape, pretty colors, but unfortunately it is not in very good condition, we can still sit on it (test at 65 kg it passes!) but the seat being strongly deformed (the fault, I think, to a missing headband underneath, and suddenly to wicker strands that have given way), this may gradually damage the intact strands. It would therefore be perfect to decorate a window or a veranda and accommodate some soft toys, dolls or the cat of the house. But the ideal would obviously be to entrust it to a basket weaver to restore it and give it back decades of life more! Apart from this problem of missing headband and therefore of deformed and weakened seat, it is still very solid structurally speaking, but does not hide its age: broken wicker strands therefore (mainly at the level of the seat and some on the backrest and armrests), some paint stains and scrapes, only one of the feet is still equipped with the red strand that decorated it, the varnish is absent on the front edge of the seat. It is 100 cm high, 56 cm wide, 70 cm deep.
