Doe and her fawn – Vintage Zsolnay Pécs sculpture, Hungary. Charming small glazed porcelain sculpture attributed to the famous Hungarian manufacturer Zsolnay Pécs, likely made in the 1950s–1960s. The composition depicts a doe gently inclining her head towards her fawn. The elongated silhouettes, fluid lines, and streamlined forms give this scene a particularly modern elegance. The glaze features soft shades of beige, light brown, and cream white, delicately contrasted by the base with turquoise reflections. This stylised representation perfectly illustrates the aesthetic of Central European animal sculpture from the mid-20th century. A piece full of poetry, ideal for a vintage ceramics collection or as a small sculptural object on a shelf or console. Partially preserved manufacturer's mark under the base, now difficult to read. Condition: Very good vintage condition. Careful and secure shipping.
