Minimalistic shelving system by nils “nisse” strinning for string, sweden 1949. This shelving system with its minimalistic looks, was designed by swedish architect nils “nisse” and his wife kajsa strinning in 1949. With its modular construction easily adjustable to your likes. This system is made of pinewood veneer and the risers are metal. The cabinet is a bit darker of color than the shelves. Marked at the bottom of the shelves and at the back of the cabinet. The original pins to hang the cabinet have been replaced by new ones. 3 X pinewood veneer shelves 20 X 78 cm. 1 X cabinet 78 X 30 X 42 cm (lxdxh) Nils "nisse" strinning was a swedish architect and designer. Nisse strinning was best known for the string bookshelf system. In 1952 he founded the two companies string design ab and swedish design ab. They are icons of scandinavian modern design and they have won different design awards.
