This Scandinavian freestanding shelving unit is a part of the "String" system designed by Kajsa and Nisse Strinning. Originally introduced in 1949 in Sweden, it quickly became a benchmark of modular shelving and remains in production to this day. Overall set size is H: 109 / W: 80 / D: 30 cm. The set includes three mahogany shelves with adjustable height, allowing for flexible configuration depending on storage needs. The shelves are mounted using metal ladder supports and hook fittings. The metal parts are allowed to create a freestanding, independent unit that can be moved easily around the house. It can become an elegant storage solution in vintage-inspired or contemporary interiors. This set consists of: 2 shelves, 29 cm depth, A shelf, 19 cm depth, 2 metal montage ladders, 109 cm in height. The wood has been cleaned with professional compounds and protected with a few layers of stain lacquer. The set remains in great vintage condition with very minor signs of age consistent with use.
