Georgian hardwood washstand with J & MP Bell ceramic bowl.

We are delighted to offer for sale this superb original Georgian antique washstand from around 1820, complete with a period J & MP Bell & Co ceramic bowl from Glasgow. The bowl features a blue and white printed design depicting a man in a chariot drawn by two horses with buildings in the background, known as the 'Triumphal Car' design. The table is in very good period condition, while the bowl has numerous repairs and a heavy patina, but it is a rarity as most bowls are broken due to everyday use.
