Antique Brass Water Bottle From Sumatra, late 1800s

This antique brass water bottle from Sumatra dates from the late 19th century and is a beautiful example of Indonesian metalwork. The bottle was originally used during ceremonial rituals and sacrificial practices on the island of Sumatra. Crafted from solid brass, it is richly decorated with hand-engraved floral motifs, typical of the decorative style of the region at that time. Due to age, there is some minor wear here and there, as can be seen in the photos.
