Very beautiful little children's chair from the 1950s/60s, with an iconic design reminiscent of the work of Jacques Hitier, a major figure in post-war French school and industrial furniture. Bent metal tube frame (painted burgundy), molded plywood seat. Compact size, clean and functional lines, furniture intended for communities in the 50s to 70s. Has a marking under the seat: "EN 24", indicating a standardized European school format (approximately size 2/3).
