Pressed vase from the 1970s produced by the renowned Ząbkowice Household Glassworks is a characteristic example of Polish utilitarian modernism. The vessel's form—a slender cylinder with a slightly tapered base—is accentuated by a full, relief pattern of geometric rectangles and squares. The glass surface, described as pink roselin with a semi-transparent, warm hue, allows light to softly penetrate the structure, achieving a subtle illumination effect. Decorations in the form of regular protrusions cover the entire piece, giving the body a distinct, tactile texture—compositionally integral with the architectural simplicity of the object. The glass remains smooth and shiny, with no visible damage, scratches, or signs of use. The edges and base are carefully finished. The vase is preserved in very good condition, with no losses or signs of restoration. In this glass vessel from the PRL era, the voice of a decade open to functionality, colour, and rhythm resonates. The relief motif can be read as an echo of modernist visions of the future—a spatial order enclosed in an everyday object. The juicy pink, softly shaded by light, evokes the atmosphere of optimism and freshness typical of the seventies. The surface pulses with reflections, changing with the time of day, as if the vessel records the sounds of household bustle and the light of canteen lamps—discreetly telling a story of modernisation hopes from half a century ago. This vase can be placed on a low lacquered wood console or on a mid-century modern style tabletop, allowing the glass form to play against a background of cool, neutral colours. It works as a solitaire with a single expressive branch or as part of a collection with other pressed glass vessels, creating a layout reminiscent of a retro modular installation. In eclectic arrangements, it is worth combining it with a ceramic wall plate or abstract graphic, referring to the dialogue between the geometry of the relief and the subtlety of the glass colour.
