Still life with pears

Oil on wood of a still life with pears signed at the top right, late 19th to early 20th century. This still life features a warm composition of pears and a peach arranged on a dark table. The artist plays with volumes and shades of greens, reds, and ochres to create an intimate and classic atmosphere. The soft light particularly highlights the velvety textures of the fruits and the depth of the colours. What is interesting about this still life is that the fruits are depicted larger than life. Note that there is one or two wormholes in the wood without incident.
