Roche Bobois armchair from the 70s upholstered in its original burgundy fabric. Born in 1960 from the meeting of the Roche and Chouchan families, Roche Bobois became in the 70s the French showcase of contemporary living – it was the era of large, low, generous seating, from Hans Hopfer's Mah Jong to all-foam armchairs. This one embodies that style: low silhouette with no visible legs, resting on a discreet recessed base, deep seat fully tufted with buttons, enveloping backrest with rounded sides. A typical living room comfort of the decade, it works as an extra armchair facing a sofa. Dimensions: L. 65 x D. 70 x H. 72 cm, seat height 36 cm.
