Cache pot, storage box in wood and rattan.

This charming wooden cube-shaped planter will add a natural and vintage touch to your interior with its turned wooden posts resembling bamboo and its sides dressed in wide, flat woven rattan strands. Originally, it is most likely a planter, but it could also be repurposed as a storage box for magazines and remote controls in the living room, or for socks by sliding it into a wardrobe, or even as a bedside table or end table by covering the bottom face (which would become the top) with pretty paper or fabric (see the last photo for an idea). It can be said that it will follow you everywhere for many more years, depending on your ideas and desire for change. It probably dates back to the 1950s or 60s when this method of turning wood to resemble bamboo was very fashionable, particularly on mirror frames. It is in generally good condition, sturdy, with no missing parts on the rattan covering, but it obviously does not hide the patina of time and use that testify to its age: marks and small stains on the wood and rattan. I have cleaned it carefully; the remaining marks are indelible unless it is sanded and revarnished. It measures 30 cm on each side and 25 cm in height.
