Antique travel trunk in coated canvas, wooden slats and brass – early 20th century. Superb antique travel trunk/storage chest from the early 20th century. This beautiful piece features a wooden structure covered in brown coated/waxed canvas, reinforced by light wooden slats on the front and lid, as well as ironwork, corner reinforcements, and locks in brass and black metal. The interior retains its original paper with a very elegant floral/geometric pattern in burgundy and pink tones. • Metal side transport handles, original brass locks and fasteners. • Condition: Good overall condition. Beautiful patina from time that gives it all its authentic charm. Very solid structure, clean inside. • Use: Ideal as a coffee table in a vintage living room, at the end of a bed, or as a decorative storage trunk in an entrance or office.
