Mug on pedestal in German porcelain Ilmenau Cobalt blue

This magnificent coffee cup is made of german porcelain from the ilmenau factory of count henneberg. This flared cup on a pedestal is a deep navy blue, known as cobalt blue, and decorated with golden friezes and turquoise blue cabochons. It is a production of the german ilmenau porcelain manufactory - founded in 1777 by count "graf von henneberg" in thuringen. The decorations are rich and the cobalt porcelain is well mastered by this factory. Production continued until 2002! This cup is in very good condition, it measures 7 cm in height X 5 cm. I would like to point out some wear to the gilding. It will be perfect for enjoying a small, strong coffee, surrounded by other delicate cups chosen for their pretty designs...
