6 enamelled earthenware plates, hand-painted decoration, produced in the East of France, circa 1940–1960. Each plate features a stylised floral design in bold colours — green, orange, yellow, blue, and black — treated with a free and spontaneous gesture. The set is structured by a double yellow and black line and a bluish border, typical of these regional productions. The decoration, naive and graphic, evokes the repertoires of Lunéville or the Islettes in a more free and expressive version, characteristic of post-war productions. In good vintage condition, with signs of use, glazing defects mainly on the underside, indicative of workshop firing and semi-industrial production. There are small chips on the edges of some pieces, and two hairline cracks (see photos). Diameter 22.5 cm. Earthenware from the East of France, hand-painted decoration, unsigned regional production, mid-20th century. Perfect for a guesthouse table or a Parisian bistro in a characterful mix & match spirit.
