Important richly carved walnut chest – Renaissance style – 17th century. Very beautiful carved walnut chest in Renaissance style, featuring a particularly rich architectural façade. The façade is organised around three panels separated by carved pilasters. The two large side panels are adorned with relief geometric patterns, central rosettes, and leafy decorations. The central panel, narrower, houses the lock and is framed by abundant carvings. The uprights are decorated with masks, foliage, and stylised motifs, while the lower part features a scalloped crossbar punctuated by carved consoles. The whole rests on four straight feet. The upper lid lifts to reveal a spacious storage area. There is an internal metal locking system. Very beautiful warm patina of the walnut and significant decorative quality, making this chest a piece of character. Period: 17th century. Style: Renaissance. Material: carved walnut.
