Pair of vintage Scandinavian Windsor chairs with blue bars

Halfway between lucian ercolani's windsor/quaker chair and ilmari tapiovaara's fanett model from which they are directly inspired, this pair of chairs is on the border between scandinavian and english design of the 60s. With their pop blue lacquer paint that awakens a classic and timeless line, they will bring a touch of pep to a chic country style kitchen or a playful side to a child's desk. We particularly like the subtle work of the bars that are refined at their end and the curve of the backrest that give these solid wood chairs an appearance that is both robust and light. The blond wood seat is slightly curved to discreetly follow the shape of the body and gain ergonomics. The chairs are in good general condition. The most significant defects are located on the arc forming the backrest, on which we will notice many small lacquer gaps. In other places, the presence of scratches or small spots. Note also slight traces of discoloration and some spots of blue paint on the seats that have superficial stripes, with some deeper. The chairs are stable and solid, with light and normal play in the bars of the backrest. Reinforcement screws are present at the junction between seat and bar base. Note the lack of a screw cover. Seat height: approx. 44 cm.
