Duo Ceramic Studio Monika Maetzel Hamburg 1960s Candle Holder Vase

Candle holder and matching bud vase in ceramic. The flat disc candle holder features a black and white striped pattern and is signed by Monika Maetzel, a German ceramicist from Hamburg whose studio was established in 1947. The mini bud vase adopts the same graphic vocabulary with vertical stripes. It is not signed but coordinates perfectly with the candle holder. Candle holder: 8.5 X 8.5 X 2 cm. Vase: 5.5 X 5.5 X 6 cm. Very good vintage condition. Slight loss of glaze on the inner edge of the vase.
