Val Saint Lambert amber glass bowl, Candide series, metal leaf mount

Art Deco bowl made in Belgium in the first half of the 20th century. The amber bowl is cast glass with a crystal content, which gives it a finer shine; round, with decoration inside, from the rare Val Saint Lambert Candide series of tableware. The glass bowl sits in a metal mount of leaves, attributed to the Belgian smith Van Boeckel (1857–1944), known worldwide for his Art Deco mounts, mostly decorated with flowers. Condition: very good, no damage. Dimensions: 33 X 28 X 20 cm (13 X 11 X 7.9 in).
