Desk Lamp Model Agaricon D36 by Ross Lovegrove for Luceplan Italy
The D36 "Agaricon" table lamp is an icon, designed by Ross Lovegrove in 1999 for the Italian company LucePlan. Lightweight and semi-transparent, the Agaricon (mushroom in Greek) turns on and off by touching an aluminum sensor ring that surrounds the outer edge of the lampshade. By sliding a finger along this edge, one can adjust the modulation of the light intensity, acting like a dimmer switch. The body and cover are made of high-pressure injection-molded polycarbonate with some aluminum parts. The lamp emits a pleasant ambient light rather than direct task lighting, enhancing the atmosphere of the space... Technical details: Installation type: Table lamp. Designer: Ross Lovegrove.
