Base table in corten steel and wood designer comtenporain. Corten steel (or korten) is a self-weathering mild steel with a rusty appearance. It is a steel on which a self-protective layer (called patina) is formed that protects it from atmospheric corrosion. This feature is achieved by the addition of a number of alloys such as copper, chromium, nickel and molybdenum.
