Founded in 1940, japon tendo mokko (天童木工) has been the largest furniture manufacturer in japan since world war II. Combining ancestral know-how with new technologies, their expansion has allowed the circulation of new furniture in the archipelago and to shine internationally. Coffee table/bench in rosewood plywood. The curved ends evoke the shape of the wings of a torii (shinto gate), or the raised edges of certain antique japanese benches and furniture, a reference to the art of folding and fine woodworking. This piece could evoke a bench, a coffee table or a sculptural object. Restored, and in perfect condition.
