Roche Bobois - Bombom Pirulito Centrotavola - Joana Vasconcelos

This is a ceramic centerpiece bowl by the Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos for the French design house Roche Bobois. Titled 'Bombom Pirulito', this piece is part of a larger collection that translates the artist's vibrant, sculptural language into functional objects for the home. Crafted entirely from ceramic, the bowl features a distinctive stacked, toroidal form. The design is composed of three distinct color bands: a matte pink base, a glossy white middle section, and a matte yellow top ring. With a diameter of 35 cm and a height of 17 cm, its substantial presence is balanced by its playful, candy-like aesthetic, which is characteristic of Vasconcelos's work. The piece is presented in perfect condition, showing no signs of use. The integrity of the ceramic and the distinct finishes—both matte and gloss—are fully preserved, reflecting its status as a well-maintained decorative object. The base bears the official Roche Bobois brand mark. As a 'centrotavola' or centerpiece, this bowl serves as a striking focal point on a dining table, coffee table, or console. Its contemporary design and bold color palette make it a suitable accent for modern, pop art, or eclectic interiors, adding a touch of artistic expression to the space. Retail price: 700 euros.
