Ancient antique-style patinated plaster bust representing Hebe, daughter of Zeus and Hera, goddess of youth and protector of young couples. Fine model from the late 19th to early 20th century based on the life-sized sculpture by Antonio Canova created around 1800 (see photo). There are many similarities between the features of this Hebe and those of Pauline Bonaparte-Borghese, immortalised by Canova in "Venus Victrix" at the same period... The ancient bust is in very good condition, with its patina and some signs of age, but without any missing parts or cracks. Beautiful expression, gentle and serene. Perfect for decoration in a neo-classical, contemporary, or even design or Art Deco setting... Height 60 cm, width 33 cm, depth 26 cm. Contrary to what the site suggests, delivery via Mondial Relay is not possible!
