René Gabriel Buffet

Antique René Gabriel sideboard dating from the 1940s/50s (a piece often referred to as "disaster relief furniture," as René Gabriel was a furniture designer after World War II). The sideboard is made of solid oak and veneer. It is in good overall condition with some normal signs of wear for its age. The frame and legs are very stable. It has two doors revealing three adjustable shelves. In the center are five drawers that slide perfectly. The locks are new with their original keys. The sideboard has been completely restored (cleaning, stripping, sanding, treatment against woodworm, restoration of the back panel and both shelves, replacement of the top, application of a protective wax, and replacement of the two locks).
