Bouquet of tulips, lithograph signed by Roger Mühl, printed by Mourlot, c. 1980-1990

Very large original colour lithograph on Arches paper signed by Roger Mühl (Strasbourg, 1929–Mougins, 2008). The work is signed "Mühl" in pencil at the bottom right and bears, at the bottom left, the dry stamp of the Mourlot lithography workshop (Paris), famous for printing the greatest artists of the 20th century. This is an artist's proof, as indicated by the abbreviation "E.A." written in pencil at the bottom left of the composition. Because they are an integral part of the artistic creation process, these special prints hold great value: artist's proofs are printed in a few copies outside of any numbering and are reserved for the personal use of the artist. The lithograph is beautifully framed with a double mount whose edges match the blue and green tones of the work. Of high quality, the solid wood frame features a patinated silver leaf finish; it measures 94 cm high and 88.5 cm wide. The lithograph itself measures 68 cm high by 62 cm wide. In very good condition, both the lithograph and the frame. The entire piece was fully disassembled, inspected, cleaned, and reassembled in January 2026; no creases or browning to report. The lithograph is ready to be hung. The artist's market value is steadily increasing: his frequent exhibitions have helped establish his reputation during his lifetime in the international art market. In 2018, the oil on canvas "Interior with Bouquet" (110x100 cm) was sold for 4,425 euros. More recently, among the twenty works by the artist sold in September 2021 by the Dufrèche auction house (Belfort), "La calanque de Sormiou" (150x160 cm) and a "View of Trayas" (85x80 cm) were sold for 27,280 € and 34,100 € respectively.
