An Art Deco chandelier, made of hammered wrought iron in a shagreen style, featuring a central ceiling bowl and three tulips (one with a crack – photo) in frosted pressed moulded glass. It bears the signature Negra on the bowl and the tulips, model Degué no. 857 in the manufacturer's catalogue. Electrified, in working condition. Period: around 1930. Dimensions: height 65 cm, diameter 50 cm. Good condition. Founder and owner of the Verrerie d’Art Degué company in Paris (1926-1939), David Guéron (1892-1950) established the Cristalleries de Compiègne in the early 1920s before moving to Paris in 1926, with a factory on Boulevard Malesherbes and a shop where he showcased his creations at 41, Avenue de Paris in the 12th arrondissement of the Capital. Various signatures are found on the lighting glassware: in addition to the Degué signature, there are also the signatures Roc, Negra, Rethondes...
